Our Facilities
As a non-profit community centre RVAC strives to provide affordable access to a range of specialized equipment. Please reach out if you’d like to become a part of this community through individual membership, or sponsorship.
THE COMMUNITY WOODSHOP
The Centre operates a fully equipped shop, which includes workbenches, table saw, jointers, shapers, bandsaw, drill press, belt sander, drum sander, and a selection of hand tools. While we are lucky to have volunteer team member Ken Talbot, we do not have any on-site supervision, and restrict access to members who have the skills and experience to work safely in this high risk environment. Please click the link below for more information.
New members are provided with a one-on-one orientation and have access to the shop on a 24/7 basis.
THE POTTERY sTUDIO
The RVAC pottery studio is equipped with four wheels, two kilns, a slab roller, extruder, and a variety of hand tools. This friendly and welcoming space offers a chance for local potters to hone their pottery skills. Click the link below to find out more!
PRIVATE STUDIO RENTALS
In addition to our community studios, RVAC offers long term private studio rentals. These seven studio spaces are offered to artists at accessible rates to help encourage creative growth.
All our studios are currently occupied by local artists, however anyone is welcome to add their name to the private studio waitlist. When a studio becomes available the space is offered to the next person on the list. No need to present a portfolio of work.

THE pRINTMAKING STUDIO
The Printmaking Studio is our newest addition to RVAC’s community studios! As we’re in the early stages of setup our team is still working behind the scenes to setup full memberships. In the meantime we’re running a range of classes including copper etching and linocut.
The space is currently setup for relief printmaking, however there are plans to expand into screen printing in future phases of this project. To hear about new workshops, exhibitions, and Print Studio updates, join our mailing list or follow us on social media.
To join our free mailing list, just scroll to the bottom of this page and fill in the “Don’t Miss Out” section.

THE COMMUNITY GARDENS
In partnership with the Revelstoke Local Food Initiative
The community garden at the Revelstoke Visual Arts Centre was started in 2015 and is now run by our volunteers and the Revelstoke Local Food Initiative. There is a ton of potential in this huge space that flows in with our Xeriscape garden.
Members of this community garden enjoy plots of herbs, vegetables, flowers and a mini fruit orchard, with all excess donated to the Revelstoke Food Bank.
If you’d like to join the team getting hands on to keep these gardens running, please contact RVAC about volunteer positions.
If you’re interested in claiming a personal plot please reach out to the Revelstoke Local Food Initiative.
