Calling all creative and curious youth ages 12–17—are you ready to dive into the world of messy, hands-on, experimental art? Forget about perfection and polished masterpieces; these half-day classes are all about the experience of making art! This class is perfect for those who feel unsure of what to make, those that struggle with perfection, and those who just want to have fun.
These classes take an unconventional approach to creativity, championing exploration and curiosity. You’ll explore strange, messy, and playful activities that go beyond just paint and composition. From experimental techniques to playful destruction, this is your chance to embrace the chaos and make some bad art. Come hang out, we have snacks.

Women's and NB Intro to Power Tools
Instruction by Elynyd Benjamin
Step into a safe and supportive space where you can gain skills with power tools and build your confidence in woodworking. Whether you’re a beginner or have some experience, this female led workshop is designed to help you flourish.
Instructor Elynyd Benjamin, a Red Seal Carpenter since 2015 and a graduate of the Fine Woodworking Program in Nelson B.C., will guide you through your intro to power tools journey with a series of small take-home projects.
Most materials are included, however participants are required to bring their own safety glasses, pencil, and tape measure.

Poetry in the Gallery | Free

Join us for a free evening of poetry, creativity, and community! Whether you’d like to share a poem you’ve written, read a favorite by another author, or simply listen and enjoy, everyone is welcome. Bring a cup of tea, relax in the cozy gallery atmosphere, and soak in the magic of words. This is a welcoming and judgement free event, beginner poetry is encouraged.

Life Drawing | Weekly Drop In

Sharpen your life drawing skills this winter in a relaxed, low-pressure environment! Life drawing is the practice of sketching from a live model, offering artists a chance to study anatomy, form, and expression.
Join us every Monday for sessions open to anyone, regardless of skill level. These self-directed classes provide the perfect opportunity to practice at your own pace, with a facilitator on-site to guide the session rather than provide instruction.

Breathwork in the Gallery

Join us for a transformative Breathwork session surrounded by art. Breathwork is more than just breathing—it’s a holistic practice that uses conscious, controlled breathing techniques to improve physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
This 2 hour workshop will guide you through a unique, immersive experience. Arrive at 6:30pm to enjoy the art, and we’ll begin the guided session from 7 – 9pm. Headphones provided for a personalized and peaceful practice.

A free community wide project for all
The Teeny Art Gallery is live, ever-changing, and waiting for you! This miniature gallery operates on the “take a piece, leave a piece” model. Create something tiny, place it in the gallery, and take home a new tiny masterpiece!
Revelstoke’s smallest art gallery is nestled on the left side of the Revelstoke Visual Arts Centre at 320 Wilson St. Spot the little white box in the undercover section—it’s here year-round, snow or shine!
