“Born and raised in Ottawa, Canada, Dan grew a passion for outdoor adventure while learning to snowboard, bike and whitewater kayak. He moved out west to British Columbia for university, but really it was to play more outside.
While he was studying, he picked up his first digital camera. He was blown away with the possibilities for capturing his love of outdoor adventure and have continued to explore photographic curiosities since.
In 2009 he helped establish the photo and video program at Selkirk Tangiers Heli in Revelstoke, and hasn’t looked back.
Today he feels a massive privilege to work with some of the top athletes, brands and publications in the world. They trust him to put an artistic spin on the images he creates. He loves using new technology and techniques to help present never-seen-before perspectives of the subjects he loves to shoot. It’s not uncommon for him to be using a drone, an underwater housing or an infrared filter to create a unique image”
