what is Art in the Park?
The Artist Residency
July 15 – 19, 2024 in Glacier National Park
The Art in the Park Program is a five day artist residency in Glacier National Park hosted by Parks Canada and the Revelstoke Visual Arts Centre. This highly sought after program takes artists into the height of Glacier National Park to Rogers Pass where artists stay, hike, and create among the beautiful Selkirk mountains.
This year artists stayed in the bunkhouse, located in the heart of the Rogers Pass National Historic Site. The intention of this residency is for artists to explore and create among the trails and creeks of our pristine mountains, inspiring them to create three pieces for a travelling group show. This show starts at the Revelstoke Visual Arts Centre’s Public Art Gallery and then has the opportunity to travel throughout the province and country.
