Paulina Tokarski is a self-taught artist originally from central Poland who found her way to Canada in 1988. Paulina’s artistic journey began in her teenage years, where she immersed herself in acrylics on canvas and wood. Over time, she expanded her repertoire to include acrylic inks and ventured into mixed media. Her true passion, however, lies in working with alcohol inks on aluminum composite and yupo paper, where she finds endless possibilities for creativity.

“In Nature Unveiled, I invite you to journey beyond the surface to discover the untamed beauty and hidden rhythms of the natural world. This collection is inspired by landscapes that hold my heart—the towering majesty of mountains, the ever-changing seascapes, and the golden serenity of aspen forests.

My work balances the recognizable with the abstract, evoking the spirit of nature rather than its exact form. The unpredictable flow of alcohol inks reflects the wild energy of the natural world, with each movement creating organic forms full of life and motion. To enhance depth and texture, I incorporate acrylics and mixed media, adding complexity and inviting viewers to look beyond the surface.

As a lifelong skier, hiker, and forest wanderer, I draw endless inspiration from the magical aspens that remind me of my childhood in Poland, the tranquil alpine trails that provide sanctuary for my mind and body, and the serene power of the sea, where my heart feels at peace and free to wonder and contemplate.

Nature Unveiled is a celebration of untamed beauty, blending the tangible with the imagined. Each piece invites you to experience the awe, stillness, and movement of the natural world through my creative eyes. My hope is that this collection inspires a renewed appreciation for nature’s raw power and its profound ability to speak to our hearts.
