Art Residency in Glacier National Park
with proud partners Parks Canada

Since 2008, the Art in the Park program has provided artists with special access to explore Canada’s national parks and then share their experience through art. Artists are chosen to encourage a balance of artistic styles and mediums, and create unique pieces of art that inspire an emotional connection and deeper understanding of Canada’s national parks.

Artists spent several days and nights exploring the lakes, trails, wildlife and spectacular views in Glacier National Park, British Columbia. This exhibition will be on display throughout Canada to celebrate the beauty of our national parks.

This year we had nine participating artists who took part in this program who have each created 2 – 4 pieces for this travelling exhibition. Visit the main gallery this March to get a first hand view of what these nine incredible artists created during their residency in 2022.

A huge thank you to our proud partners Parks Canada who have been working closely with the Revelstoke Visual Arts Centre to create host and produce the Art in the Park Residency Program since its inception.

Are you interested in joining the Art in the Park residency as an artist in the future? This program runs every two years and artists are chosen through an application and adjudication process.
