Plein Air Watercolour Workshop

Sarah is a freelance artist currently travelling through western Canada in her trusty van. In university, Sarah started to explore her interest in art and the outdoors by taking drawing courses and art classes that pushed her to think about how she could have meaningful interactions with the land.

In this workshop Sarah will be guiding you through exploring watercolour techniques while on outdoors in nature, known as plein air painting. Watercolour exploration will be based on this in nature landscape, rather than referenced from a photo or imagination. Participants will be led on a short adventure to a picturesque location in Revelstoke, B.C. where they will begin this workshop.

Suggested to Bring:

• Good shoes for walking
• Sunscreen and/or hat
• Bugspray
• Food & Snacks
• Water
• Blanket or small cushion for sitting on

Materials Provided:

• Watercolour Paper
• Paintbrushes
• Paint
• Boards for painting on
• Pens
• Sketching Tools

Participants do not need to bring any art supplies but are welcome to bring their own if they so desire.
