Sarah is a self taught artist, living in the small northern B.C. town of Smithers. Her artistic career began in 2018, with a desire to capture some of the places she enjoyed spending time in, and quickly grew into a passion for finding ways to integrate the landscapes around her into a feeling in her art. The small sketches on paper turned to detailed canvas landscapes, all inspired by her time in the outdoors, hiking, split-boarding, and exploring spaces around the world. Sarah aims to paint places she has personally been, finding that the truest expressions of these views come from time spent immersed in them in person. Her main focus is acrylic realism paintings, with a strong passion for shadows and light.
