Exploring Pastel Drawing

Push the limits of expression with coloured Chalk Pastel. Play with blending, hatching, cross-hatching, smoothing, smudging, scrumbling, layering and stippling (even adding water and oil).  Course will cover the colour wheel, composition, light and value, and expressive non-local colour. Instructed by Barbara Maye.

Painting with Watercolour

Instructor Karen Millard is in demand, as she also teaches through Opus in Kelowna. This class is for anybody wanting to learn how to use watercolours and for those with experience who wish to develop their skills.

Learn Printmaking

A great course for the beginner or those with some printmaking experience. Impress your family and friends by sending out handmade gorgeous printed cards for any occasion. This class will show you how to create hand pulled artist prints. Instructed by Cornelius Suchy.

Encaustic Workshop

Learn how to create amazing paintings using coloured wax. Artist Peter Blackmore shows you how to use hot irons and other tools to make these unique works of art.

Acrylic Painting – Level 2

For students with some painting experience, we continue the journey of painting acrylic realism.  Course covers complementary and non-local colour using opaque and transparent techniques and a range of applications with a higher level of difficulty – working on larger canvases over longer periods of time. Instructed by Barbara Maye.
